Concept of contrast- final production

We all live in a very complex system, full of contrasts.
Our emotions change so fast; we feel excited and happy one moment and feel angry and frustrated in the next moment.

Scene1
We come from very conservative countries, and now we all live in New York, the free-est city.

In daytime, we work, we study, trying to be good.
In nighttime, we drink, we dance, wanting to be free.

We are both angels and demons.

Scene2
So,we always fight with ourselves, but nothing changes.

Scene3
The only way out is to accept that this is who we are.
We are both white and black, light and dark, calm and crazy, loud and quiet.

  1. And so we laugh the laughter of angels, and rejoice on life, work and order, on meaning, sense and reason. We celebrate the burdens that give purpose to our lives.

And so we laugh the laughter of devils, and rejoice on death, leisure and disorder, on the absurd or ridiculous, on emotion and passion. We celebrate the wings of levity that remove weight or grief.

Freedom is neither white nor black, but the possibility of painting our canvas of whatever color we choose, of the color that best represents us.

And so, no matter our origins or upbringing, we are free to know and to experience, to mingle and to party, to expand ourselves and to forge who we really want to be.

  2. Very insightful comment from Jorge... in the end, he seems to converge on what many have observed as critical to the creative process: the freedom to "fool around"... to discover through the joy of playing... by playing, I mean the way we play as children where our imagination shapes everything in our experience and we are fully "in the moment..."

We never cease to be in that moment of becoming... of becoming ourselves through an ever expanding sense of who we are and all we can be...
